Types of Roof Design
Monopitch roofs are the simplest and most cost effective for this type of extension, usually tiled and at a pitch to match the existing property. In certain cases a gable roof design may be suitable to avoid adjacent windows or replicate the existing house.

Design features to consider are a sloping ceiling incorporating Rooflights to increase natural lighting to any additional rooms. Roof designs such as hip or gable roof would normally be incorporated into the design to match the existing property. When considering door and window positions consider the use and furniture layout including the type of preferred heating system.
